They say breakfast is the most important meal of the day and yet many of us still skip it. This smoothie is low calorie yet filling and quick to make. I’ll repeat! That’s low calorie, fast and filling! So what’s not to like? Give it a try!

There are: Strawberries for a healthy dose of Vitamin C and fiber; Banana for a good helping of potassium and to make the smoothie creamy; oats for protein and soluble fiber … how’s that for going on with?

If you are always in a rush in the morning and don’t have time to get everything together, then do it the night before. You can then just throw it all in the blender and whizz just before you run out the door! And don’t think it will take too long to clean the blender; just put a little hot water and a few drops of dish liquid in it and blitz it again for a few seconds – one clean blender jug!
