Recipe 2: Kale Cucumber Pear Smoothie
Start your day with a serving of greens with this recipe from Harley Pasternak, celebrity trainer and author of The Reset Diet. The pear and cucumber sweeten the smoothie, making it a refreshing drink for breakfast.
Ingredients: (Serves: 1)
- 1 cup water
- 1 cup kale
- 1 cup cucumber
- 1 cup pear
- 1 tablespoon lemon juice
- 1 serving unsweetened vanilla whey protein powder (Pasternak prefers Source Organic Whey)
- 5 raw cashews
- Place all ingredients in the blender in order listed above.
- Secure lid and blend for about 1 minute. If a thinner consistency is desired, add a little water
- Blend for about 20 more seconds.
